RAWBangkok is here to tell you about Bangkok in a way that no one else can or will. When I first suggested the idea of the blog to my friend Penfold, he replied with an enthusiastic email that really sums up what this blog is all about:

I gotta say first and foremost i fucking I love the idea of the joint blog.
Ive always wanted to start my own, but never felt i’d be able to add to it daily to keep people interested, and i’m a complete dickhead to anything technical like admin etc etc. and if i was gonna write, i’d want it to be completely uncensored.
I think a domain like rawbangkok.com would deffo be better then a blog-based addy like xxx.wordpress.xxx.xxxx like your current one?
rawbangkok really grabs me, i love the sound of it. It encapsulates the theme of things
As it goes I’ve been writing a load of shit down lately. Random Shit. Like i wrote a really crass piece about something basic like choosing either a laptop or desktop PC when i come back to BKK, and interlinked whoring stuff and the like into it. I’ve also rough-written a piece about a failed trip to Star of Light a while back, gym etiquette, the first whore i fell in love with and stuff along those lines. Ill send you a very rough piece on the laptop piece, lemme know what you think.
Its weird, like i will see something totally non-descript in BKK, and in my mind really break it down, reckon that could make good reading
I have a big catalog of stories and stuff, which i need to get written down and I reckon my in your face style would definitely compliment your more refined day to day styling. bit like day and night really. So many people used to comment on your blog how cool it is to read about your everyday life in BKK, i reckon we can offer something unique in that you can have that, but also my take on it from the perspective of a wide eyed early twenties lad making his way.
We could also incorporate a mini bar review bit as well. Not in the typical fashion, but have a list of places that are hot and not. Nothing in between. Only a place that deserves it for being either great or gash.
Put a new place up every week and keep a list of the places. Like a simple thing of places we recommend, and places to avoid like the plague and a description why. But try and mix it up from places to party, eat, relax and stuff and kerep descriptions basic

Sunrise Tacos Paragon – Rubbery shit food. fajitas were as appetizing as a turd sandwich, garnished with poo
I think there needs to be a site out there that names and shames shit places, websites and stuff with no limits and we might be able to build up a strong following. I dont see why not. Just call a spade a spade with no apologies — at least a credible effort that pulls no punches and makes no apologies.
I am honestly really escited about the possibilites here, i been having a flood of ideas for stories and stuff today which i been jotting down, then will go beserk when i get home and start writing them up
Anyway get back to me, as im bursting with ideas
